Thank you so much for supporting this petition. The petition started small, but has since sky rocketed to over 200,000 signatures!
The people of Plymouth, Cape Cod and beyond, have made it clear to Holtec that we do not want this water in our beloved Cape Cod Bay. The wishes of people, the real human beings who live in the shadow of the nuclear plant, ought to count for something.
My goal in starting this petition is to ask that Holtec CEO Krishna P. Singh please retract his plan to dump the water into the bay. I am also asking that he publicly announce that he will not dump the water into Cape Cod Bay, before the next meeting of the NDCAP on March 27th.
Despite the 200,000 signatures, I still have not heard from him. However, the good news is that I will get an opportunity later this month to present the petition to reps from Holtec, which I’m looking forward to doing.
For folks like you and I, this petition has been a way to let our voices be heard. We are turning some heads to say the least, and I thank you for your support. I will keep you posted with developments, and I hope you have a great weekend.
Take care,
Ryan
