Unfortunately On February 09, 2022 At 5:15 P.M. At  The Broadway Ave/ 5th Street A Bus Ran A Red Light And Drove Into The Pedestrian Walk Area And Hitting My Furry Son(My Dog) And Instead Of Stopping And Giving My Furry Son A Chance To Live He Hit His Gas Running My Furry Son Over With Both Wheels Then He Kept Going Until He Was Passed The Bus Stop And Then When I Ran To The Bus Front Door He Was Laughing And Said What Did I Do And Ran To The Back Door And Was In His Face He Was Laughing And Said Oops. Then Three Different Times He Said It's Just A Dog It's Not Just A Dog He Was My Son My Best Friend. When I Called The Claims Office They Wanted Me To Put A Price On My Furry Son And I Couldn't I Look At Him Like He Was My Flesh And Blood. He Was My Child And For This Bus Drive Not To Have Anything Happen To Him When He Broke The Law And Killed My Furry Baby And For The Police And The Court To Look At My Son Like He Was Property And To Give Us A Time Limited Not Giving Us Enough Time To Even Press Charges Or To Even Be Able To Be Able To Morn Let Alone Deal With The Fact Of Losing A Big Part Of My Family. If U Get In Trouble And Get Charged For Domestic Abuse To Animal And Get Jail Time Shouldn't They Be More The Loss Of Property When Someone Breaks A Law And Kills Our Furry Kids. We Have To Care For Them Like They Was Our Kids They Need Us Just Like We Need Them They Are More Then Just Property They Are One Of Our Children They Are Part Of Our Family Shouldn't They Be Treated As So. Please Help Me Change The Law And Help Me Hold Those Responsible For Killing Our Furry Children And Destroying Homes Please. i want to change it where dogs r not property they are put as furry children or something else and the time to get pay back is  longer
