Growing up as a student in our school, I've noticed a significant gap in the way we celebrate diversity, especially when it comes to representing LGBTQIA+ students. As a proud member of the queer community, it pains me to see that we have yet to hold any events that celebrate and uplift our voices. This lack of representation can make LGBTQIA+ students feel invisible, isolated, and unsupported in their own educational environment.

Wear It Purple Day is an internationally recognized day that shines a light on the importance of supporting LGBTQIA+ youth, promoting a message of love, acceptance, and inclusivity. The event encourages everyone to wear purple to school to show their solidarity. The impact of such a celebration goes beyond just a single day; it helps foster a supportive community, promotes understanding, and sends a strong message that everyone deserves to be treated with respect and dignity, regardless of their sexual orientation or gender identity.

Unfortunately, our school is yet to embrace this empowering initiative.
