I, amongst many others, have watched the demise of Lisa Richards over the last few months. She has lost custody of her son and has continued to beg TikTok users to send her money in order to support both her and her pregnant daughter’s addiction by going “Live” on the app. The picture attached to this petition is Lisa a month ago, and Lisa a few days ago.

Lisa consistently lies about the reasoning behind her needs for the money, whether it be cigarettes, food, clothing, medicine, Uber rides, etc. Her family has made it blatantly clear Lisa wants for nothing. She receives food stamps, her father is her chauffeur who takes her back and forth to the clinic for her doses. She’s also gone as far as stating twice in the last week she’d be attending rehab to pull at the heart strings of the people who truly want her to have a success story and be united with her son again, only to go Live and say she was no longer going because she couldn’t get cigarettes or because they refused to accept her due to anxiety medication she was subscribed by her physician.

TikTok has been made aware of the situation by thousands of people and nothing has been done. Unfortunately, people get banned instead for what TikTok calls “false reporting”. Sadly, TikTok has proven that as long as they’re benefiting from the profits they will continue to turn a blind eye.

We need your help in demanding that TikTok take immediate action against account and user exploitation led by addiction for profit. Her being removed could possibly change her life and show others TikTok is not the platform to be used for feeding their addiction. Sign this petition today!
