I am a dedicated advocate for my community in Palmetto. Every week, I offer food support to those in need and hear firsthand the stories of struggle and dissatisfaction that members of our community face. The choices and financial decisions made by our Mayor and City Council have not only been questionable but have also directly impacted the quality of life for many citizens.

The City of Palmetto, known for its vibrant community and family values, is experiencing hardship that should not be ignored any longer. From increased taxes to poorly planned projects, the financial burden placed on residents is becoming unbearable. These decisions are made without proper consultation with the community members whose lives they affect. 

Many communities, like ours, have seen funds allocated to projects that serve only a fraction of the population while neglecting essential services like infrastructure improvements, educational programs, and community outreach initiatives. This misallocation has manifested in neglected roads, poor infrastructure, utility billing has skyrocketed, community resources that are crucial for the wellbeing of our residents.  
Decisions are being made by the Mayor and City Council without the input of the citizens. Even when a subject is presented at a City Council meeting it’s after it has been voted on. The morale is low and the people are hurting. 

It is time for transparency. We need to know how and where our money is being spent. The community deserves a clear accounting of municipal funds and assurance that financial decisions are extending the quality of life for all citizens.

Empowered by the voices I've heard, we're calling for immediate action. We are asking for a complete public audit of recent spending decisions by the City Council and a platform for residents to voice their concerns and be genuinely listened to in public forums.

Transparency and accountability from our elected officials are not just demands; they are our rights as citizens. Let your voices be heard. Stand with the citizens of Palmetto in demanding that our elected leaders make decisions that are inclusive, beneficial, and just.
