My name is Monika and I'm a single mum of one amazing boy .

Single parents mental health is being affected greatly when they have to be the sole provider  for children that they had with their ex partners . 

Lone parent families like myself , who  have to work extra hours to provide for their children because their ex partners are not putting any financial input in their upbringing... we are struggling. 

It effects not only our mental health but also physical.... it effects our kids mental health because we can't spend quality time with our children , we have no spare time or we are exhausted.

Our children want us to spend more time with them, they need our attention but we can't always provide that if we struggling and getting no support from our ex partners. 

It should be their responsibility  to pay towards their children.  

If things change it will give a peace of mind to all Single parents out there. It will reduce the stress  ,it will provide  a better quality life for our children.

Knowing that our ex partners will have to pay at least a minimum payment that will be set by a government,  will make a huge difference.  

People need to start taking responsibilities for their actions.  

Everyone should be treated with respect and dignity, single parents should not  have to even ask their ex partners for financial support for their children.
