Founded in 2008 by Jamison Monroe, N*wport Ac*demy is responsible for thousands of abuse and neglect victims yearly. With over 20 Male and Female Teen Residential centers that house up to 60 people at a time, they are single-handedly ruining the young lives of struggling teenagers. Every right a child has before entering one of these locations is stripped away when they are admitted. They are forced to sign paperwork they could never understand. They along with their parents receive a promise that they won't be there for more than 30 days, whereas in reality the average client stays for 90 days and can be held illegally for up to 150 days at the discretion of their Clinical Team. This along with so much more is unacceptable to put 13-17-year-olds through. We need to take action and petition for Teen Mental Health rights to change! No longer can we have children forced into residential treatment facilities against their will!! If nothing changes, countless innocent young lives will continue to be lost and thousands more will suffer at the hand of emotional and mental abuse from those who claim to be the solution.
