I, a daily user of Meta platforms, have repeatedly found myself censored for sharing factual information derived from government websites. While those same platforms constantly tolerate and sometimes even endorse much worse content, the censorship of my posts stands in stark contrast, a clear violation of my First Amendment rights. Recent statistics from NYU Stern Center for Business and Human Rights show a worrying trend of social media platforms being prone to inconsistent enforcement of their own content rules (source: NYU Stern Center, 2021). It's alarming to see my words, rooted in verifiable government information, being suppressed while harmful misinformation often remains unchecked.

This petition is a call for Meta - or any corporate entity wielding such communications power - to be held accountable. We urge lawmakers to investigate such instances and ensure these corporations are adhering to the principles of Free Speech which are the basis of our democratic society.
