Hold IHSAA and Logos School Accountable

Hold IHSAA and Logos School Accountable
The Issue
I want to preface this by saying that I have permission to start this petition from the parent who brought this to light. Logos School (Moscow, ID) is a part of the Christ Church in Moscow. Please google them or look on Facebook for them to see all the controversy surrounding this church. This is absolutely not an isolated incident.
On Tuesday December 12th, the Kamiah High School basketball team traveled to Moscow, Idaho to play the Logos Knights private school. During the gameplay, one of the Logos players inappropriately grabbed several of our players by their private parts during gameplay. It happened multiple times and was reported to the refs. I did not become aware until the next day, when our coach called and had me ask my son if it happened to him, as the refs had called to inform our athletic director that it was reported to them during the game. I asked him and he said he had been grabbed, and he reported it to the refs, but hadn't said anything to me as it was weird and embarrassing. Luckily a parent livestreamed the game, as it was played at U of I, so wasn't broadcasted on the normal NFHS cameras in the high school gym. We reviewed the footage, and it plainly showed the Logos player grabbing my son by the crotch and then lifting him with a closed hand, violently enough to lift him up and his shorts up, as they were under the basket for a rebound. It shows my son having to re-adjust himself and then my son is shown going directly to a ref to report it. This happened to 2 other players on our team, one other which is also clearly visible on video. At first, I thought it was just accidental game play contact, but after seeing the video and talking to the boys, it was easy to see that it was deliberate and on purpose grabbing of the genitals. I then discovered via a little research that this same player was in trouble last year and was on video grabbing Lapwai players by the buttocks and inappropriately touching them during a game. This player is also the son of one of the coaches, so then I wondered if this behavior was instructed as a form of dirty game play and not just something deviant from the student, as it definitely had an effect on our players during that game.
I was told it'd be looked at by the people that run the leagues, District II, IHSAA etc, and to have patience as they investigated. So I stayed quiet to not interfere with their "process". After a week went by I did report to Law Enforcement, as this was not just a sports issue, but clearly the crime of Sexual Battery under State Laws, and it seemed the league wasn't going to report it to the authorities. With amazement we then watched this player continue to play in games with zero repercussions. We were told District II had to wait to have an executive session meeting, due process for Logos, etc. I told them I understood there was a process, but that maybe they needed to look at changing some rules for being able to swiftly remove a player from the court (or a team) in the case where a crime was committed during game play, This wasn't just some random cheating, etc, this was a sex crime, and our kids/players deserved to be protected from such things during competition. I continued to contact IHSAA director and District II people and then finally in mid January I was told they were giving him a 6 game suspension, as that was what was allowed under their current rules. Logos then, however, disputed this, so then he continued to play until a "Due Process" hearing, in which the suspension was upheld by District II. He then sat out a couple games, but then yesterday we found out via another team coach that Logos appealed to the state and somehow got the suspension overturned and he was back on the court last night!!!
I was beyond infuriated hearing this, almost 2 months after committing sexual battery on our players this player and Logos had taken no accountability and now were not even being held accountable by those who could and should do so. I was ready to accept the 6 games and move on, as I understood their hands were somewhat tied. But not now!!! On top of the IHSAA failing to do their jobs, Logos as a school has done zero to address the situation. Instead of acting like a normal public school, they've fought every decision, refused to cooperate in any way or to hold anyone in their sports program accountable. In fact when they played us here Monday, they brought the player with them (he was suspended during that game) and had him on the court during warmups, lineups and then even had him go through the line to shake our players hands after the game. Can you imagine someone grabbing your son or daughter by the genitals, then your kid having to shake the hand of their attacker?? Logos also had people at the game taking video of our students and crowd, I guess in some sort of fishing expedition to try and find something on us to justify their players sexual battery...the icing on the cake was them telling our staff that one of our players touched himself inappropriately during the game. We have a player who does fidget with his jersey, and may have adjusted himself during gameplay, but I guess Logos doesn't understand that touching yourself and touching someone else is 2 completely different things.
There is open prosecution on the legal side with Latah County, which Logos and all involved from their side have refused to talk to or cooperate with Law Enforcement, ignored requests and eventually just said it had to go through attorneys. That will be a drawn-out process, so my concern is the fact this kid and the team as a whole is still on the court, putting our kids at risk, along with having pretty well managed to escape any accountability for their actions. I'm so frustrated at this point that it seems my only option is to make this public and try to enlist others to pressure the IHSAA and District II to do their job and do something to protect our student athletes. Otherwise, I'm convinced this behavior will continue. Logos seem to think they can do as they wish, since they're a private school, and in some sick twisted way they spin things around to try and act like the victims. I also would like to hear any other stories from players, coaches and parents from other schools that have played them, as I've heard of other horror stories and think more has happened, but most are scared to say anything or don't know what to do. I'm to the point now that I'd like the teams in the Whitepine League to look into removing Logos from the League. There is no benefit for our student athletes to have to compete against a private school that refuses to hold their athletes and coaches to any account or standards of behavior or social norms, instead promote and protect criminal behavior. I'm not sharing the videos yet, out of respect for the kids involved. At this point I almost feel bad for the Logos player, as I think this problem is more to do with the coaches and institution, he is a part of.
