A few months ago, I made the difficult decision to spend a significant amount of my hard-earned savings and insurance pay out on replacing the leaking roof of my home due to hurricane Ian .The leaks not only created hazardous living conditions for my family but also is placing us at risk of receiving citations from the city for unsafe housing. Like many others, I entrusted Family First Roofing Group with this crucial task, hopeful they would deliver on their promises. 

Instead of seeing my home restored, I now find myself wrestling with grave disappointment. Family First  Roofing Group accepted my money without completing the work, subsequently declaring bankruptcy and leaving countless clients like me in a precarious position—out of money and without the necessary repairs. This isn't just an isolated incident; it reflects a grave issue affecting numerous families throughout the community who are also grappling with similar breaches of trust, all because of the unethical practices of this company.

The situation highlights a pressing need for accountability. Family First  Roofing Group must be held responsible for their actions, ensuring they cannot continue to take advantage of trusting customers by leaving jobs incomplete. Similarly, there needs to be a broader regulatory focus to prevent companies from exploiting bankruptcy filings to dodge obligations owed to customers.

According to a recent report, roofing frauds are increasingly prevalent across the nation. The National Insurance Crime Bureau estimates that roofing fraud costs Americans millions of dollars annually. These fraudulent activities not only drain financial resources from hardworking citizens but also degrade trust in legitimate businesses that strive to uphold commitments.

To address this ongoing crisis, it is essential to enforce stricter regulations that hold businesses accountable and provide comprehensive consumer protection. We urge the local government and consumer protection agencies to hold  Family Frist  Roofing Group’s business practices thoroughly and implement measures to safeguard  consumers by holding them accountable.
