Hold Elle McCall Accountable

The Issue

Elle McCall is a prosecutor for the Lane County District Attorney's office, and she was responsible for a string of cases pertaining to a group of friends who sexually harassed, sexually assaulted, raped, abused, and terrorized what is known to be over 20 afab (female at birth) people in the local community.

The case numbers she was responsible for include: 21CR30215 (consolidation of a few cases), 21CR30218 (consolidation of a few cases), 21CR56311, 21CR56306, & 23CR12005. You can look those up using the online portal at this link

A project is also underway that is intended to broaden community knowledge of these men and their crimes, beyond what is recorded in the legal cases. But this petition is about the legal case, and the facts.

In terms of the legal record, I was informed that 7 out out of the 20+ known victims were included in the cases, and a cesspool of evidence. Personally, I had submitted graphic videos (recorded sent by the perpetrators themselves) which depicted them sexually violating me, and raping my friend. In addition to this, there was evidence in the form of social media messages, witnesses who had been sent the videos of my friend and I, and some other damning things. Elle had all of this to work with, plus a multitude of victims- many of them (including myself) being a minor at the time of the crimes. And these crimes spanned over almost ten years.

Elle decided to give each of the men a plea deal. This resulted in two of the offenders receiving just three years in custody, and 36 months probation, and the other two receiving 36 months probation as well, with one receiving no time served, and the other just 30 days in county jail, with credit for time served- so two of the offenders remain out of custody and free in the community.

In addition to generally letting down the victims in this case, Elle violated our legal rights as victims, and action is to be taken by myself as well as other victims on the record. And, I have decided to make this petition, that I will present to the proper personnel, in an attempt to have her removed as a prosecutor for cases in Lane County.

Elle told us that she didn't have a strong case, but nobody believed that for a second. Elle is lazy, and she's not motivated by justice. She should not be prosecuting violent crimes, or really at all. The justice system needs to employ individuals who want members of the community protected- and what Elle did with this case shows that is not a priority to her.
