Hold DFACS and CPS Workers Accountable for Placing Children in Unsafe Homes

Hold DFACS and CPS Workers Accountable for Placing Children in Unsafe Homes
The Issue
ABBY'S LAW
This is a matter of personal pain and societal worry. As a heartbroken mother who has seen her own children taken away on false accusations, I can tell you how deeply flawed the system is. Moreover, being a figure whom a number of neighbourhood children look up to, I witness how my friends lose their children because of the failures of the Department of Family and Children Services (DFACS) and Child Protection Services (CPS).
We demand justice for the countless children who suffer because welfare workers choose to surrender them into dangerous situations. These social workers knowingly place innocent children in hazardous homes, turning a blind eye to evident danger. This gross negligence has led to grave injuries and, in some cases, even death. Their irresponsible decisions shatter families and rob children of their happy, carefree childhood.
DFACS and CPS workers often act under the guise of confidentiality, protecting themselves instead of the children they swore to defend. We demand an end to this destructive secrecy. Their names and cases should be open to public scrutiny to prevent further harm.
According to the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services, an estimated 678,000 children were victims of abuse and neglect in 2018 alone. As suggested by this data, it is evident there is a severe issue with the way child protective cases are handled.
Therefore, we are seeking to instigate a change in the law that holds DFACS and CPS workers responsible for any harm that may befall a child under circumstances where they blatantly chose to ignore signs of danger.
In conclusion, we urge you to stand with us in this cause and sign this petition. Make DFACS and CPS workers accountable for their actions. We won't stand by while children are put into harm's way. There should be no more hiding behind confidentiality; it's time for justice. Sign this petition to ensure the safety of our children and bring justice to families torn apart by bureaucratic negligence.
