Hold Dallas Judge’s Law Firm Accountable for Targeting Crash Victims

Hold Dallas Judge’s Law Firm Accountable for Targeting Crash Victims
The Issue
If you or someone you love has ever been in a car accident, you know how stressful those first few days can be. Now imagine getting nonstop phone calls from strangers trying to get you to sign legal papers while you’re still in shock.
That’s exactly what one Texas couple says happened to them. After their crash, they started getting calls they never asked for. Some of those calls led them straight to a big personal injury law firm called Loncar Lyon Jenkins. That firm is partly owned by Dallas County Judge Clay Jenkins.
They never contacted the firm. They never gave anyone permission to use their crash report. But somehow, someone got it and used it to try to sign them up as clients. In Texas, that kind of behavior is called ambulance chasing, and it’s against the law.
This law is supposed to protect people from being pressured or taken advantage of right after a traumatic event. But when law firms use third parties or shady marketing services, they can get around the rules. And when a sitting county judge is involved in a law firm facing these kinds of accusations, we should all be paying attention.
We are asking the Texas State Bar, the Attorney General, and local Dallas leaders to look into this. We want a real investigation, real consequences if the law was broken, and real safeguards to make sure crash victims are protected in the future.
It shouldn’t matter how big the law firm is or who owns it. The rules should apply to everyone. And no one should be allowed to profit off people who are scared and vulnerable.
Sign this petition if you agree it’s time to stand up for accident victims and hold those in power accountable.
