Hold City Council Accountable and Support the CBA

The Issue

Ward 7 wants to ensure our community is put first if we bring a stadium to DC. The best way to protect our neighborhoods is through a strong Community Benefits Agreement (CBA) that will bring investments and resources directly into our community, while respecting the rich history and culture of our neighborhood.

  • Make your voice heard about what you want for the RFK development site
  • Hold DC Council accountable to include what the community wants

We’re seeking neighborhood support for proposed commitments we want to see in a CBA. It is vital that we hold the parties involved accountable to deliver on commitments we want to improve our Wards.

As a longtime resident of Kingman Park, former Civic Association Vice President, and engaged neighbor, I want to protect the rich history of Kingman Park and make sure our neighbors see specific benefits if a stadium is developed in our backyard.  Kingman Park holds a significant place in history as one of the first neighborhoods in Washington D.C. where Black residents could become property owners. Our neighborhood also played a crucial role in Civil Rights demonstrations that ended legally sanctioned segregation in education, recreation, and housing throughout the city. It's imperative we protect the history and culture of our neighborhood.
