The Issue

My family has endured the harassment of child protective services for more than a decade. In 2022, our family suffered a traumatic situation that has compelled me to take action. Child protective services overstepped their boundaries, and after we declined their services, they relentlessly continued to harass us. It escalated to the point where I had to hire an attorney to force them to stay off our property. Three of my children, now adults, can also testify to the undue stress and turmoil we experienced.

This petition is a call to action for holding all child protective service workers accountable for inaccurate cases. Misinformation and unwarranted removal of children from their homes cause immeasurable harm, destroying families one at a time. The primary role of child protective services is to safeguard children and provide adequate and safe housing. Unfortunately, instead of protection, children have sometimes faced more abuse—be it sexual, physical, or emotional—after being removed from their homes.

The system that is meant to protect is instead failing our children and families. This cannot continue unchecked. I urge policymakers to establish stricter guidelines and accountability measures for child protective service workers. This includes thorough review processes, enhanced training on accurately dealing with sensitive cases, and penalties for any misconduct or negligence. By implementing these changes, we can ensure that the focus remains on genuinely protecting children and maintaining the integrity of families.

Join me in speaking up for the children and families affected by these unjust practices. It is imperative that we, as a society, demand reform. We must be the voice for the children who cannot speak for themselves. Please sign this petition to hold child protective services accountable and advocate for the changes needed to truly protect our children and their families.
