I write this petition from a place of deep unsettling hurt. The actions of one person, Bernadette Spofforth, have personally impacted me and countless others. Inciting race riots through her false narratives, she has caused a ripple effect of destruction and loss that permeates the UK. Our businesses, properties and even lives have become the collateral damage in her reckless pursuit of chaos.

Her misinformation campaign has not only fuelled dangerous aggression, but has proved fatal, resulting in several tragic deaths. Investigations by credible agencies, such as Amnesty International, have revealed that misinformation such as this can result in a rise of violence and conflicts, adding unnecessary suffering to alreadyo ppressed communities (Amnesty International's Report, 2020). It is a stark reminder of the power and responsibility that comes with one's words.

Her lies go against the basic principles of integrity, responsibility and accountability. By not facing any charges, the notion that 'no-one is above the law' loses its significance. The message being projected is that actions, no matter how extreme, will go unpunished if committed by those from privileged backgrounds.

This is an urgent, heartfelt plea for justice. Let Bonnie Spofforth answer for her actions and be held responsible by facing charges and paying reparations for the irreparable damage she has caused. We owe it to the people who have died, the businesses destroyed, and the communities torn apart by her deceit.

Despite this, she has taken no accountability to date, trying to lay the blame on others and continuing to publish lies and false information regarding various issues.
