This is a plea born out of a personal encounter with the harsh realities of a system that allows for corruption. I, a resident of Batavia, NY, was violated by the unjust and unethical actions of Drug Task Force Detective Kenneth Quackenbush. My privacy was invaded, with the detective starting an investigation using illegal pictures of me inside my own home. This despite neighbors being informed that such practices were unlawful.

The issues extend beyond my personal experience, reflecting a systemic problem within our city and the whole of the United States. According to the 2020 report by the nonprofit, Transparency International, the U.S has significantly declined in the global Corruption Perceptions Index, falling out of the top 20 countries for the first time since 2011. As citizens, we should not live in fear that city officials or law enforcement exceeding their authority, allowing corruption to flourish.

We call on Batavia city officials, to take definitive action against corruption within our local law enforcement and civic mechanisms. We demand that police, sheriffs, and state troopers be held accountable for their actions, functioning within the limits of the law and respecting the rights of Batavia's citizens. It’s time we restore the trust between law enforcement agencies and the community they serve. They need to hire a mayor so that the city officials are policed themselves!

Mom& wife.Have bad mental health problems including PTSD had a ptsd mental breakdown, worst 1 never learned how to deal with ptsd and all I've ever known is drugs to push it back down. I was introduced to a drug and ended up getting addicted, I'm going to treatment also being stalked by my neighbors and though they do the same plus sell theycalled task force gave illegal photos and started false investigation stalking me every second im home. Also found out and he admitted landlord knew the neighbors were stalking me.
