Today, Balfour Beatty denied access to our mold assessor during our scheduled walkthrough. This decision raises significant concerns about transparency and their commitment to ensuring the safety of our home.
On multiple occasions, I have formally requested the post-clearance report to confirm that the house is safe following mold remediation. However, during the walkthrough, we were instead presented with a certificate of clearance that was dated prior to the start of mold remediation—a glaring red flag.
Additionally, we were assured that the contractors' licenses had been verified. Yet, upon checking with the state, I confirmed that the licenses remain unverified. Despite repeated claims by Balfour Beatty that they have done everything in their power to ensure the home is safe, they continue to withhold the post-clearance report, a crucial document that would provide evidence of their efforts.
Given these alarming discrepancies, we have refused to accept the house until:
Balfour Beatty provides the post-clearance report.
They agree to replace our upholstered items that have been exposed to mold.
At this point, we remain in limbo, awaiting answers and proper action from Balfour Beatty. Our family deserves clarity, accountability, and most importantly, a safe home.
Thank you for your continued support as we advocate for transparency and safety in military housing.
