Hold Amazon & eBay Accountable for Allowing Pixel Direct Ltd to Exploit Customers

Hold Amazon & eBay Accountable for Allowing Pixel Direct Ltd to Exploit Customers
The Issue
Why This Petition Matters
For too long, consumers and sellers alike have been left vulnerable to fraudulent practices by Pixel Direct Ltd, a company trading on Amazon Marketplace and eBay under names such as Pixel Direct and topbuyuk.
Hundreds of complaints across Trustpilot, Reddit, Amazon reviews, and eBay forums show a consistent pattern of behaviour:
Customers receive faulty, damaged, or counterfeit items.
When returns are requested, the company falsely claims that the item has been “tampered with” or “damaged in return transit,” leaving buyers without a refund.
Sellers who do business with Pixel Direct Ltd on eBay also report being scammed — goods sent are marked as “not received” despite tracking proof, or payments are clawed back unfairly.
This is not a series of isolated incidents. It is a business model.
A Pattern of Abuse
Here are some of the real complaints from customers (all public, from Trustpilot/Amazon/eBay):
“When you return the item, they claim it’s been tampered with so they don’t have to give you a refund.”
“They said my product was under warranty, then accused me of breaking it and refused a refund. Total scam.”
“As soon as you open a return, they drag it out until the A-to-Z claim window is nearly gone, then deny responsibility.”
“I sold an item to them on eBay. They claimed it wasn’t delivered despite signed tracking. eBay ruled in their favor. I lost both the money and the item.”
Every one of these stories echoes the same tactics: deliberate stalling, false accusations of tampering, and manipulation of marketplace policies.
Why Amazon & eBay Must Act
Both Amazon and eBay are directly enabling this behavior:
Amazon’s A-to-Z Guarantee is supposed to protect buyers from unscrupulous sellers. Yet customers are repeatedly told they must return goods to the seller before refunds — even when the seller has a proven record of claiming “tampering” to avoid refunds. Amazon’s rigid policy effectively hands fraudsters a free pass.
eBay’s feedback system prevents sellers from leaving negative reviews of buyers. This means that despite dozens (if not hundreds) of fraudulent claims, Pixel Direct Ltd maintains an impeccable public feedback score, continuing to lure in new victims.
Both platforms are failing in their duty of care under UK Consumer Rights Law (Consumer Rights Act 2015), Fraud Act 2006, and Payment Services Regulations 2017 (which underpin Visa/Mastercard chargeback protections).
By allowing this company to continue trading, Amazon and eBay are complicit in consumer fraud.
What We Demand
We call on Amazon UK, eBay UK, and Trading Standards to:
Investigate Pixel Direct Ltd’s trading practices across all platforms.
Suspend Pixel Direct Ltd’s selling accounts until a full investigation is complete.
Proactively refund affected customers, rather than forcing victims to fight lengthy disputes.
Introduce safeguards that prevent repeat offenders from using loopholes in returns/refunds systems.
Give sellers equal protection, including the ability to leave negative buyer feedback on eBay when fraud is committed.
Why You Should Sign
This is not just about one seller. This is about how major platforms like Amazon and eBay are failing to protect the very people they profit from.
If you shop online — or sell online — you could be next.
Together, by raising awareness and demanding action, we can stop families from losing money, children from going without birthday presents, and honest sellers from being destroyed by fraudulent buyers.
Sign this petition to hold Amazon, eBay, and Pixel Direct Ltd accountable.
