Belarus has been rocked by protests since the fraudulent presidential election on August 9, 2020.To date, 30,000 detained, thousands beaten/tortured in police custody, 84 people missing, and 5 killed all under regime of A.Lukashenko who has been in power since 1994. Does this sound like a country that should have a previlege to co-host a major sporting event?

The 2021 IIHF World Championship will be co-hosted by Belarus and Latvia. Belarusian athletes and citizens spoke against hosting the Championship in Minsk by asking the hockey community to boycott/cancel World Hockey Championship in Belarus!!!

Canadians ask Hockey Canada to do the right thing, speak up and stand up for Human Rights by boycotting the World Hockey Championship 2021 in Minsk, Belarus.

Do not play with dictator! Stand in solidarity and support Belarusian people who are subject to oppressions, torture and murder by the Lukashenko's regime.
