Accountability for Emergency Services 108

Accountability for Emergency Services 108
The Issue
The First Response Team ( Emergency Services - 108 ) is the obvious first point of contact for people who need immediate medical services and one of the main reasons why people would prefer 108 over self-assistance is because of the hope that vehicles would be equipped with medical supplies and emergency kits which would help the one in need.
This is an example that I came across which alarmed me of the serious lack of Emergency Services.
My Friend's father felt sick all of a sudden at night 11PM - He was unable to breathe. Calls to Emergency services was made in the following 15 mins.
The First call response was acknowledgement
The Second call response was - Collating Details
The Third call response was - Arranging transportation .
The fourth call Response was - " SORRY - Emergency services is caught up with another Emergency case. We do not have another transportation that can be engaged at the moment "
All of these took place in less than 20 to 30 mins . My friend's dad passed away by the time we got him to another private Hospital.
I am not saying that my Emergency is more important than another one. But this costed a life.
IF EMERGENCY SERVICES WOULD HAVE INFORMED US AT THE SECOND CALL - WE COULD HAVE DONE SOMETHING
Is Hyderabad really running short of Emergency Services Transportation ?
What if the emergency was for an infant or a mother-to-be ?
What follow-up's are done to ensure if there's still emergency services required if they are unable to assist ?
Who can be held accountable ? If there is someone that is held accountable - what actions are taken to avoid them ?
If I have a medical Emergency at home, Should I try looking up for the nearest hospital in my google search or attempt to arrange a self transport to the nearest hospital ? or reach out to the well-known 108 ?
People reading this - Please understand that this is an emergency that could literally happen to anyone . Those Crucial Seconds & Minutes are the ones that decides the fate of the one who needs immediate medical care.
I am writing this hoping someone could take a look and see if something can be done. Even if this helps in relooking at the current medical services support - that might save someone's life.
Please Support.
