Keep Westville in Lumpkin

The Issue

We believe that the Westville Executive Committee has vastly underestimated the funds, tools, and experience required to move Westville professionally. In doing so, the Executive Committee will unnecessarily place our ancestors’ homes, shops, and possessions in peril. Further, the Executive Committee has misjudged the potential of Westville where it is. The public use of Westville is low now, not because the location is poor, but because of the committee’s own inability to operate an attraction effectively. We ask that the Executive Committee abandon its rash plans and re-visit Westville’s time-honored formula of relying on volunteer power.
