Save the last pre-war Holiday Camp building in the UK

Save the last pre-war Holiday Camp building in the UK
The Issue
New Beach Holiday Park in Dymchurch, Kent has the UK's last pre-war holiday camp entertainment building. There are no other examples of this type of building from this period remaining.
The 1936 pavilion was the centrepiece of the Beach Holiday Camp and has served millions of holidaymakers over 80 years. The present owners seem disinterested in its heritage and are set to demolish the building in September 2017.
The building is an important part of our tourism development and social history and informs us of a time when millions of working class could afford a weeks holiday for the first time.
Canterbury's Westgate Hall demonstrates that buildings such as this one can be successfully refurbished and continue to serve 21st century guests, not as a museum piece but as a functioning modern building.
This building is nationally important and should be refurbished for future generations to enjoy.
