Why Dr. Ashonta Wyatt?

Dr. Ashonta Wyatt is a lifelong advocate for education and social justice, a respected community leader, and a fearless voice for our children. She currently serves as the Chief Consultant of A. Wyatt Solutions Group, a professional services consulting firm dedicated to increasing organizational effectiveness through coaching, professional development, and advocacy for marginalized communities.

A New Orleans native, Dr. Wyatt is deeply invested in the city’s future. She is a parent, educator, and community servant who graduated from Edna Karr Magnet High School. She holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of New Orleans and both a Master’s and Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Xavier University of Louisiana.

With a career spanning teaching, school leadership, and policy reform, Dr. Wyatt has been a steadfast advocate for educational justice. She has also been featured in the award-winning docuseries, Algiers, America—a powerful HULU documentary exploring the devastating impact of gun violence on communities like ours. As a consultant producer on the series, she helped amplify the voices of those working tirelessly to protect and uplift our children.
