Pigeons are dumb. The main reason is because they're depressed because scientist gave them a really stupid name. But I believe that the words "Flying Rat" is way more uplifting and the birds will enjoy their new names.

Occording to Google, there are 35 breeds of Pigeons currently known and of course I have come up with 35 different names for those as well, such as Tame Flying Rats, Rachet Flying Rats, Stupid Flying Rats, and so forth.

Another reason why it's good to stop calling them Pigeons is the hunters. Say, a hunter went into the woods with somebody else and they saw a Pigeon. If they ask, "what is that?," You can simply reply, "That is a Flying Rat."

If you use a term like "Flying Rat," it sounds way too cool to hunt so the Hunter would have to move on to a different animal instead, which will solve the Pigeon shortage problem. 

Now from a rat's point of view, don't you think that it would be inspiring to have a rat that could fly. Then, the adult rats could tell their children that instead of scavenging around for food for the rest of their lives, they might have a chance to learn how to fly. Then the rats would be depressed.

In conclusion, "Flying Rats" is a much better name for Pigeons then their original name and it will solve many problems in the animal kingdom.
