For 25 years, people have loved, honored, and supported Hilary Duff. Her last studio album Breathe In. Breathe Out. was released 10 years ago. For a decade old fans and new ones have been wanting, praying and begging for new music. In September 2025, it was announced that she would release a new single. We then got the announcement that she would be releasing a new studio album with the help of her new record label Atlantic Records. (This is important)

Leading up to the album’s release Hilary sat on a hand full of LIVE interactions with fans and post Instagram stories while 'signing' CD booklets. Duff went on and stated "I had to drop the heart from my signature... I am signing so many... to save time..." and proceeded to show the pile of hand signed CD booklets. On February 20th, 2026, Hilary's 6th studio album ‘luck...or something‘ was released. Upon the album's release, fans and supporters started receiving their pre-order vinyl records and CDs. An overwhelming number of videos, comments and postings have been released talking about the autopen signed copies of their merchandise they received. (An automatic pen, or autopen, is a mechanical device used for the replicated signing of a human signature.) Since releasing the album, many fans have commented on the last 8 posting of duff's on instagram asking for someone to please speak up and address the autopen signature. There has still been no comments made about the situation.
 
What makes this situation bad is while ordering from her official website (www.Hilaryduff.com) it says, "signed copy" which people would assume means Hilary Duff herself sat down and signed a limited amount of CD's and vinyl's to be sold (granted with Taylor Swift she mentioned her stuff would be "Hand Signed" well selling merchandise so people know she hand signed them). Nowhere on Duff's website says things will be autopen signed.

Since announcing she has been signed to Atlantic Records, things have not been a little messy:

The battle for tickets (to all her live events) that suddenly have sold out but then have way more people in the queue than what the actual venues hold, but suddenly they seem to keep finding more tickets despite it being “sold out”. 
 
For her ‘Lucky Me Tour’ two of the ticket packages include a group photo with Hilary. The 'Lucky Me Backstage Tour + Soundcheck Experience Package' which costs $600 ($694 with tax) People are shelling out close to $1,000 to finally see and meet someone they have looked up to for years and you can't have a one-on-one meet and greet experience/photo opportunity with them? Cardi B (who is Hilary's labelmate) held a meet and greet while being 7-8 months pregnant. She sat down and sometimes stood up (understandable) and took professional photos with her fans. Cardi B made sure that her fans got that moment with her. 
 
Hilary showed up 2 hours late at The Grove for her album signing and left right on time to make it to her party. There were people in the standing line who did have tickets; it capped 60 heads. Had she had shown up on time, she could have gotten to them. Where is respect for people who have supported you? 
 
Now we have the autopen situation the disappointment of people getting their fake merchandise is heart breaking 

*** Yes, to some people, it may seem like a reach. Yes, the unsigned CD and Albums are the same price, but it is the principle. She stated that the fans let her last album down. This time the fans are working hard to make sure this new album gets it shine. But now Hilary YOU have let the fans down DRASTICALLY.

NOW YOU HAVE THE NERVE TO RELEASE A DIGITAL ONLY VERSION TO HELP GET THE ALBUM TO A TOP 5, 3 OR POSSIBLE NUMBER 1 SPOT ON THE CHARTS? YOU WANT US TO HELP MAKE THAT DREAM COME TRUE FOR YOU, BUT YOU CAN'T MAKE OUR COME TRUE AND GIVE US WHAT WE PAID FOR THE NERVE.

Autopen signed inserts are something that has become common with artists. They are thinking that us as fans are so brain dead that when we receive our items, we are going to look at them and believe the signatures are real. I am sick and tired of artists and labels treating us as cash cows and not delivering what is promised. If we don't speak up now, this will never stop.

Please sign this petition to let Hilary and her team know we deserve more than a falsely advertised signed CD/Vinyl. Let's hold them responsible and see if they can make this wrong right.
