For almost 30 years, the impact that Chris Doty has made in Highlands County as an educator, administrator, mentor, coach and friend/co-worker, is something many of us have been blessed with.  As an administrator he has influenced countless numbers of teachers and students by leading them with respect, patience, guidance, trust, knowledge and the willingness to never give up.  As a mentor and coach, he has given up countless hours to make sure our kids had opportunities they otherwise would not have had.  He has been there for them as they work through struggles, challenges, and also enjoy the success of their work.  As a friend/co-worker, Mr. Doty always finds ways to make the best out of any situation.  Regardless of whatever may be going on, he is the person you can depend on to be honest in a way that will help you improve who he knows you have the potential to be.  Unfortunately, Mr. Doty is currently facing charges that fall under Title 7.  These charges could potentially be catastrophic to his career, as well as his family.   This petition was created so all of us could have our voices heard in the quickest way possible.  If you feel led to support Mr. Doty in sharing you are not in support of these allegations, and that you would like to see a much more thorough investigation done, please sign this petition and PLEASE pass it on.
