At Highland Regional High School, we are overworked and tired from waking up 5 days a week to do online lessons. Before, we had students go in 2 days a week and then the rest were remote, but had to sign a daily attendance form every day which marked their presence in class. Also, it was much better because us students did work at our own pace without having to sit on a 1 hour zoom class, showing our face, while listening only to the teacher talk. It's not only tiring waking up everyday, but it's mentally draining because we have to do that upon so much work given to us and due at a certain time. Some of the students have jobs, along with so much work, which makes it so hard for a student to finish everything or even be motivated to do it all. This petition will impact our school because we won't be as drained and run-down as we already are with these 5 days of Live Lessons. Also, it will give us more time to do our work and finish it at our own pace without having to be stressed about so much happening in one day.
