Portree Somerled Square has so much potential but gives you the feeling it lacks any real amenity; there seems to be a focus on raising revenue and keeping people moving. Both are important goals, but they should not be the “Sum of the Square”.

The centre of the village has been lacking in investment for many years. Provision of infrastructure and amenities to serve the growing number of tourists, and our local population has not been forthcoming.

Everything is a trade off, but we feel that real change can be achieved with minimal expenditure through our new proposed design layout for Somerled Square.

We have been waiting years for some change, why wait any longer?
