13 years ago Shane Jenkin held Tina Nash hostage for 12 hours. He strangled her, broke her nose and jaw and gouged out her eyes. Jenkin refused to get her medical help. Tina's two sons were asleep next door.
Police had been called NINE times before this attack due to Jenkin's violence to Tina resulting in hospital stays.
Tina asked Devon and Cornwall Police about Jenkin's history and they refused to tell her.
Had they told her about his extensive history of violence to women and men, Tina said she would have left him.
Jenkin was allowed to escalate his behaviour to this premeditated, sustained and vicious attack on Tina changing her life forever. She will never see her children's faces again and Tina describes the perpetual blackness and darkness she is forced to endure that she finds suffocating.
Jenkin was sentenced to life in prison in 2012. However he has just been transferred to an open prison following a Parole Board Hearing in 2024.
This means he is preparing for release.
Tina fears for her safety and for other women.
The stakes are high and this is urgent. Tina bravely spoke to me on my podcast Crime Analyst because she feels no-one is fighting her corner and if she doesn't speak up, who will?

ASK that Shane Jenkin's release to open prison is urgently reviewed regarding the risk he poses to Tina and other women and before he is completely free Shane Jenkin must be assessed for psychopathy using the Psychopathy Checklist.
