Shane Jenkin is a man who has forever changed the life of Tina Nash. In April 2011, in her own home in Hayle, Jenkins brutally gouged out the eyes of Tina, leading to her permanent blindness. The last face she would ever see is the man who committed this horrific action. A police officer dealing with the case described it as "the most shocking" he had ever seen. He was sentenced to life imprisonment, with a minimum term of six years. 

After suffering months of beatings and domestic abuse at the hands of boyfriend Shane Jenkins, who always convinced her it was always her fault, she was subjected to a barbaric and prolonged attack during which Jenkins beat her unconscious and gouged out both her eyes. So much force was used to gouge her eyes out, while Tina was unconscious, that Shane broke the bed in the process. 

During the prolonged attack, Tina begged him to call an ambulance; Jenkins refused, and for the next 12 hours kept her captive, tormenting her verbally and at one point throwing her into the bathtub he had filled with water. She was convinced she was about to be drowned.

But Tina is not the only victim of this violent man. Prior to this dreadful incident, Jenkins was responsible for leaving a man with brain damage; attempting to remove the eyes of others; breaking his exes fingers; smashing a jack daniel’s bottle into a man’s face; and stabbing his dog to death, because he grew tired of it. 
He possesses a track record of brutal criminal offenses against women and men, that have left deep, irreversible marks on the lives of the innocent individuals.

While passing handing down judgement, Judge Christopher Clark had said: "In view of all the circumstances in this case, it may well be many, many years before the parole board consider the defendant safe to be allowed out in the community," he added. "In my judgment he is a very dangerous man from which the public needs to be kept safe."

He spent 11 years in a maximum prison and then within two years, without Tina’s knowledge, moved to cat B and now to cat D within two years of the last hearing. It is also important to note; he had physically and sexually attacked another inmate, while incarcerated for the crime against Tina. 

 Shane Jenkin is a  man, who is not fit for human society and should not to be released. He is clearly too dangerous. 

BUT Shane Jenkin HAS been released to an open prison, ready for release.

We have to stop this from happening. Tina continues to serve a real life sentence, stripped of her sight by him and forced to live in darkness.

We are petitioning to make sure this unremorseful attacker does not get to enjoy the freedoms he has so cruelly robbed from others. By permitting his release, we potentially expose Tina and others to his brutalities.

It's time that justice is served for Tina Nash and any potential victims that might cross Jenkins's path. We must ensure that Shane Jenkins remains in prison, where he can cause no further harm.

Let us stand together in solidarity with Tina Nash and for the victims of Shane Jenkins' brutalities. He robbed Tina of one of the most precious gifts of life, her sight. We urge you to sign this petition and help maintain Shane Jenkins' imprisonment for his heinous crimes.
