High Point University boasts about being a God, Family, Country school however they continue to hold admissions and on campus events with guests from all over the country, effectively putting the HPU family and community at risk. On 9/12/2020 the school is expecting almost 300 people. Students have reached out to try to get them to cancel it but they aren’t listening. 
We as students are not allowed to have any sort of on campus guests and they cancelled in person alumni weekend, something people look forward to all year. But for some reason we are still hosting massive open houses. Their excuse is that they hosted a trial run open house in the summer but it was nothing of this magnitude or with this many students on campus. 
They say they care about us but then they are putting us at risk of Covid-19 with out a second thought. “...need to continue to operate the university and enroll the next class of students, so that we all have a thriving university at which to continue to study and work year after year.” This is what the director of campus visits had to say when asked to justify this. They are valuing recruitment over students lives. Please sign this to make the school cancel on in person/on campus events.
