Stop the Demolition of Isopad & Hertsmere House

The Issue

1. The plans for the replacement property are in complete contravention to the Elstree Way Area Action Plan. The new property is proposed as a 12 storey building, not the maximum six storey property as per the action plan.
2. Do not change the road layout so that the roundabout at the junction of Elstree Way, Shenley Road and Brook Road is demolished and traffic lights put in , the removal of the Tesco roundabout, the changing of entrance of McDonalds and introduction of a bus lane and cycle lane . The current roundabout provides good traffic flow and removing it and putting in traffic lights will disrupt this and will cause gridlock within the town.
3. No infrastructure(e.g. doctors surgery, schools) has been considered to cover the extra people planned on the new Elstree Corridor.
4. Lack of public consolation, only 117 residents were consulted out of population of 33,000. Borehamwood residents have had no knowledge of the plans for Isopad House in Shenley Road until they had been approved, which meant many did not object when they had the chance (quote Borehamwood times)

We would like the council to re-submit the plans to all the residents of Borehamwood and have a proper public consultation.
An enquiry to review the plans on the grounds of infrastructure, the height of the proposed building and changing of the roadways.
