Laurel Park Skatepark is Henrico County's only skatepark. It is one of only 4 skateparks in the metro Richmond area, and has the only public vert ramp in central VA. It is normally open from late March to late November, and is currently closed for the winter.

Prior to 2017 the skatepark area of Laurel Park had an attendant and full pad requirements, but as of this year there is no attendant, and a helmet-only requirement. The reasons for seasonal closure are now minimal. 

The cooler weather in the fall and spring (and most of central Virginia's winter) is often perfect for family-friendly and cheap skatepark activities! Please keep the park open all year!!!
