Infrastructure development in the city of temples, Mathura

Infrastructure development in the city of temples, Mathura
The Issue
One of the oldest Temple Cities of India, Mathura, is choking by lack of development.
Every road leading to this temple city, Mathura is no less than a roller coaster ride. Fear engulfs you with every bump. The road leading to Vrindavan from the Taj Expressway can get so scary that you might want to go back home. Similarly, the road leading to Mathura City from Taj Expressway can get so bumpy that you might think you are riding a camel.
Not only the roads leading to these cities are awful, but the roads in the city seem no better. You can actually crash in a tree on the city roads. Driving on these roads seems no less than a difficult car game. While playing a game you can get your life back, but, it is not so in real life.
The condition of roads have been so bad that in 2017, the Annual Rath Yatra of Jagannath Temple was cancelled due to bad roads. That was the time when CM Yogi Adityanath personally asked the concerned department to fill all pot holes as soon as possible.

Roads in this area (Mathura Constituency) needs a dramatic overhaul. On average every day more than 50,000 people visit Mathura and Vrindavan daily.

Of these 50,000 people 200 are foreigners and as a tourism rich historic temple city, whatever they see becomes their perspective of India. As India has a huge global presence, we need to focus on the perceptions and development activities in such places.
I am very grateful that Narendra Modi government takes development work quite seriously and I would like to urge Mathura Constituency’s, MP Hema Malini and MLA Shrikant Sharma to work and redevelop these roads with international safety measures.
Please sign my petition to appeal Hema Malini (MP) and Shrikant Sharma (MLA) to work towards redevelopment of safe roads in Mathura.
