Help Us Stop Hawk Cove City Hall from Making Money Off of Sewer/Trash & Lower the Rates!

The Issue

Help Us STOP Hawk Cove City Hall from Making Money and Exploiting the Citizens and Customers on the Sewer and Trash! Property Taxes for 2022 were DOUBLED by 53%!  2019 the Sewer Bill was DOUBLED by 52.5% to $121, with an intake of $1 Million as of Jan 2023, and not paying federal debts out of the increases, or compliance. Hawk Cove has the highest Sewer Rate in North Texas!,$26,000 intake on the Trash bill since 2019 an extra $60 a year per household. The City has had a loss of 105 people in 2020, down to 452,which does not meet Type A City requirements and therefore, requires a lower tax rate but, instead charged $1.17 2022, and previously $1.70 and $1.56 unconstitutional rates. Due to high property tax rates on housing, utilities, and deteriorated roads there is a high amount of abandoned trashed out properties that are Texas Health and Safety Code Violations and City and Hunt Co have refused to take responsibility of the health and safety hazards even with Texas Dept of Emergency Management funding. The City is in the Federal Poverty Level, with 40% employed hard working families and singles, 20% Veterans, Senior Adults, Disabled, and the rest retired, or on Medicaid. The City's infrastructure is 75% dirt roads, worn down rock, craters, eroded asphalt, some are grated, and a small percentage has recycle asphalt, as grant funds are available, for repairs, as the City has no money, and operates off of Sewer funds due to low property tax values.
