The Township of Uxbridge is planning to CLOSE the existing Zephyr Library. This library is a historic gem and holds a special place to the community members of Zephyr and surrounding areas.

The Township is planning to close it, meaning the books and Librarian will be crammed into two corners of the Community Hall. This would mean the members of Zephyr would loose two crucial spaces to the community.

The Community Hall as a result would have less space for Community events such as; Breakfast with Santa, Halloween Children's Party, Yuk Yuk's shows, Weddings, Family functions and other social events. 

The cost to renovate the community hall has been estimated to be from $260,000-$300,000, escalating to up to $400,000 of YOUR tax dollars, for a project the community of Zephyr does not need nor want. 

Instead, the current Zephyr Library needs only a modest amount of accessibility upgrades to continue providing service to local families. These services include children's reading programs, book club and use of the library computers.
