Help us get rid of Iready

Help us get rid of Iready
The Issue
As students, it feels like the educational system is not always on our side. A clear illustration of this ongoing struggle is the implementation of compulsory I-Ready lessons for both math and reading. From a personal perspective, the benefit of these lessons is far less than what's applied by the school's administration. The recent update to enforce an I-Ready lesson for both subjects feels like an unnecessary burden added to our already teeming tasks.
Indeed, homework itself is stressful and the much-needed advisory session, which should serve as a reprieve and an opportunity to catch up on tasks, is being infringed upon. Many of us depend on this period to get our academy-related tasks done. However, the advent of I-Ready lessons has threatened this valuable time.
This petition, hence, seeks to demand a poll, putting into consideration how students feel about the impact and necessity of I-Ready lessons. It is important that the voices of the ones directly affected by these decisions are heard and factored into decision-making processes. We believe this democratic approach would bring to light whether these lessons are beneficial to students' academic progress or just another futile directive. Sign this petition to help us put this pertinent matter forward, and contribute to an educational system that truly meets our needs.
