Hello, I go to Spackenkill High School and Dutchess County BOCES. In spring of 2025, maybe more than 20 students went to the BOCES trip to visit the campus. That same week, about 20 students have applied to join the BOCES program in the fall. For 5 months, we had to take 2 mini buses from our home school going to and from the BOCES campus. This may not seem like an issue to many; however going back being as there are 2 buses, sometimes one of the buses are delayed leaving us now to stay in the cold. And going back is an even more of an issue. Due to the 2 buses we have 1 bus that takes us start to the school and one bus that takes it an hour to get back. The bus that takes an hour to get back to our school because it goes down to a elementary school for kids with special needs. Everyday since September, we have to run to the buses in hopes that we manage to get on to the half hour bus. Speaking for myself, I am in the A-wing Fashion Department class. Our classrooms are all the way in the back of the building, I like the rest of my classmates want to get on the quicker bus. But I cannot accomplish that without having to run all the way there. As of yesterday, there has been no 2nd bus back. And only one mini bus which is the quicker one. meaning that more than 20 students need to pack into 1 mini buss, this conflict means that we have to stack on top of each other. My goal is to reach at least 100 signatures by the end of February. I know and I have faith that we can complete my goal. Please sign❤️
