Help Us Change Washington’s Liquor Laws

Help Us Change Washington’s Liquor Laws
The Issue
Currently, local alcohol retailers, wineries, breweries and distilleries in Washington state want to share their products but they keep hitting road blocks when it comes to the liquor laws.
As it stands, only non-profit organizations are permitted to serve alcohol at special events. Currently wineries and breweries are limited to sampling (up to 2 ounces per person) selling sealed bottles of their products at specific events such as farmers markets and invitation only events, which can’t be advertised. There is currently no way for local retailers, wineries, breweries or distilleries to sample, sell or serve their products at public events. This makes it very hard for these businesses to participate in events and support the community.
We would love to see our state have less red tape for these local small businesses. This will allow our local commerce to grow and pave the way for a larger community, more revenue, and more jobs.
Local veteran and Meadery owner Forrest Chesvick from Good Buzz Brewing Co has started to make this change. He wants bring fourth an easier way for alcohol producers to grow and serve the community.
We have an uphill battle ahead of us, but with the support of people like you, we will be able to make this change. Please, consider signing our petition to show your support.
