Update 8th September 2025

Good morning everyone.

We have been receiving queries from some donors.

To clarify the situation, an unfortunate sequence of events led us to withdraw from our campaign to support Alex.

We are aware that there are various versions of events going around, mostly from Alex himself.

The situation is both really sad and frustrating and has nothing to do with Alex's personal life.

We became aware of some serious concerns that led us to the decision that we couldn't continue our campaign in asking people to donate for very valid reasons that came to our attention.

I know this is disappointing and can assure you that we are extremely sad about what has happened.

The Fundraisers on our Facebook group were briefed  as to exactly why we were withdrawing our support and they made the decision to start their own group to support Alex.

We wish them well in going forward from here.

At the time this decision was made, there was just over £20,000 funds available in the Bank Account that was set up to support Alex. 

These funds were transferred to Alex's Legal Team to be held in trust for any future legal costs in Alex's dispute with Medivet.

Since the start of this campaign, the only money that left this account was to Alex's Legal Team.

Alex's wife was the first signatory on the account who had to raise a request for invoices to Mayo Wynne Baxter to be paid.

This then had to be authorised by Ian Credland or myself.

Another question we have been asked is if Alex is still working.

A handful of donors, including myself, put together a significant amount of money for Alex to set up his own clinic in Forest Row.

As far as we are aware he is till practising there.

This has been a long, stressfull and tiresome journey over the last 18 months and we find ourselves struggling to understand as to why all this has come about.
