FUND UPDATE 28th April 2025
Good afternoon fellow loyal Supporters of Alex. This is quite a long brief so please read until the end.
To date we have raised £75,097
We have paid £53,966 to Alex’s Legal Team.
Funds available as at 28/04/2025 are £21,233
There are also some very generous donors who are helping to keep The Fund afloat.
Thank you to EVERYONE who has donated so far!
Some supporters have been asking questions about why so much money is needed.
To give you an insight as to what goes on behind the scenes:
EVERY month Alex has monthly costs in the region of £3000 to £4000 just for Solicitor fees in running the day to day handling with his case.
This doesn’t take into consideration the estimated following costs:
1. Case Management Conference £ 5,000
2. Expert Evidence £20,000
3. Disclosure of Documents £15,000
4. Prepare Witness Statements £20,000
5. Pre-Trial Review £ 5,000
6. Trial, Including Preparation £30,000
Estimated Future Costs £95,000
This also doesn’t take into account any delaying tactics Medivet use to further wear down Alex.
We have to be diligent and remain united together in making sure Alex gets his chance in Court to achieve Justice Against Medivet.
We are all thrilled to have Alex back in the Community looking after our animals.😀
Medivet don’t pay him anything and he has his young family to support.😟
A way forward with getting the Fund into a good position to see Medivet off, would possibly be to donate £10 to the fund each time Alex has been to treat our animals.
This has nothing to do with Alex’s pricing and is just a suggestion to ensure a successful outcome to Alex’s case.
Any other suggestions from our supporter's would be most welcome so that we can engage EVERYONE in helping to meet the costs of his case.
As we approach Summer, we’ll be organising events on the Forest Row Village Green amongst other things.
We are privileged to have Alex amongst us and he needs us now more than ever to take on this greedy corporate giant.
