IMPORTANT UPDATE ON ALEX’S SITUATION
A whole year has passed since Alex was hounded out of Medivet.
So what has been happening and how are things looking for Alex?
This is quite a long brief but we want to give you as much insight as possible into the realities of his case and how this is affecting him – so please do read to the end.
The bad news is that the wheels of the legal world turn very slowly but meanwhile the bills mount up – not only for Alex professionally, but also personally.
To date, we’ve raised a staggering £70,368, which for a group of mainly local supporters of a local vet is really quite astounding.
So far we have paid out £53,966 to Alex's Legal Team.
Alex himself has paid out in excess of £40,000.
BUT, and we have to be honest about this, we have to keep up the momentum in raising funds in preparation for the Case Management Conference on the 6th June.
Medivet will be getting nervous. This will be a Landmark Case that will bring into the Public Eye the way they have treated Alex and will have an impact on their reputation.
All of us know Alex personally or by word of mouth, and know that you could not meet a more modest and humble man. There is no personal financial gain in this sorry saga for Alex – in fact quite the opposite.
He is fighting for the right for all of us to have the best possible care for our animals at a price which means that owning a pet is not just for the wealthy few.
He is fighting for care to be given to our pets which is best for them and not for the pockets of the big corporates which own most of the vets now.
He is fighting because we all said we were there to help him – ‘just say the word’ we said.
Fighting a big organisation like Medivet really is like David and Goliath. Medivet will continue to make life as difficult as possible for Alex.
Judging by everything Medivet has done so far to Alex, they will do whatever it takes to belittle, undermine, and harass him even more.
Like it or not, lawyers are expensive and that is why ‘David’ rarely goes into battle with ‘Goliath’.
We have all benefited from Alex’s loving care – not just for our pets but for us too – and we have all benefited from his approach to pricing.
NOW IS THE TIME TO RETURN THE FAVOUR.
SO WHAT CAN WE DO?
In order to continue the fight for justice, Alex needs around £4,000 per month to cover the average monthly fees for his Solicitor. And that does not include all the other costs (Court fees and Barrister fees).
But if all of Alex's supporters made a contribution then he would be in a strong position to continue his fight against Medivet.
It is straight forward to set up a Standing Order with your bank.
The Fund would soon build up if all of his supporters paid £10 a month until Alex achieves the Justice he so deserves and sees Medivet on their way out of Forest Row.
Please help Alex in his time of need just as he wouldn’t hesitate in coming to see your poorly pet in his pyjamas in your hour of need.
Thank you on behalf of everyone who is trying to right a wrong and get Alex back to doing what he loves best.😀
