FUND UPDATE 5th September
As of today, we have raised £34,390.70.
Invoices Paid £9,530.00
Funds Available £24.860
There is £1,006 in the Raffal Account which still has 25 days to run, so this is looking good!
There is £227.40 in the Paypal Account that ends in 7 days.
£227.40 isn’t a lot of money given that the second fundraiser has been running for over 3 weeks now.
The issue with using PayPal as a Fundraising Platform is that they are only allowed to run for 30 days and then a new one has to be started. This causes difficulty and confusion with the links to the PayPal Fundraiser and some supporters who are trying to donate are having difficulty if they click on the expired link.
This issue will only get bigger in the future.
I think the way forward is not to start a 3rd fundraiser through PayPal.
At the recent Coffee Morning with Alex, which raised over £1600, there was an incredible amount of supporters with various skills and expertise that will help our cause immensely as we go forward and gain more impetus.
Work is about to start on designing a dedicated Website to The Friends of Alex Selles Llorens which will be interactive and visible to the entire public.
The various ways to donate will be available through this new website, including PayPal.
Once again. A heartfelt thanks to all the supporters who have donated so far.
We are approaching the £40,000 mark and this is no mean feat, but we still have to get Alex across the line to have his day in Court with Medivet.
