Good morning everyone

RCVS have received several complaints against MEDIVET and are now escalating the matter.

This photo (For which we have permission) shows the unfortunate lady with her elderly dog trying to get in for her appointment but was locked out as Medivet management were "Briefing" Alex's staff inside, and no-one could be bothered to open the door for her dog to receive treatment. Alex was not invited to his OWN practice to be with his OWN staff for this "Briefing". This poor dog could hardly stand on his own legs and was forced to do so for 20 minutes. There was no cover in our community for pets and their owners for most of the afternoon. No prior notice or any attempt to make our community aware that there wasn't going to be any cover was given by Medivet.

Where were you Medivet?

This poor lady had to get her dog lifted into the car and she had to travel to another clinic which was miles away.

The RCVS are particularly interested in the following:

·       The enforced absence of veterinary surgeon Dr Alex Llorens MRCVS.

·       The lack of clinical care/management of animals who are unwell and/or have existing medical conditions to which treatment has ceased.

·       Wildlife being euthanised instead of treated.

·       Newly qualified veterinary surgeons operating the Practice without supervision

·       The Practice closing without notice leaving pets without access to veterinary care

·       The impact of the situation has resulted in many pets.

·       The impact on animal health and welfare.

·       Issues with dispensing and prescribing medication.

Even if it's just to complain about the poor lady and her elderly dog being locked out of the practice. Just have a look at the concerns that RCVS have highlighted above and please submit.

The fact that since Alex’s departure they are charging extortionate fees, is not within the remit of the RCVS.

May we put everyone’s mind at ease that this sorry saga is about how Medivet are dealing with this outrageous chain of events, and is not aimed at Alex, or his loyal staff.

The sooner Medivet realise they have handled this in an appalling manner, and leave Forest Row, the sooner we get our beloved Alex back!
