Help to Stop Killing Students in Bangladesh and Support Their Rights

The Issue

I am a concerned citizen of Bangladesh, fearful for the future of our youth. Our children, the very future of our nation, are being brutally assaulted, killed and silenced while fighting for their legitimate rights. They are losing their lives in the struggle for their basic human rights and demanding genuine quota reforms.

Students gave petition to the President to get a solution for their legitimate quota reform demand but the politically selected President failed to act and solve the issue. His inaction, some politicians illegitimate remarks about the students as children of Razakar and mobilising their musclemen against peaceful protesters caused deaths and destructions in Bangladesh. A directly elected impartial president could stop this situation. We're advocating for a directly elected President of Bangladesh by the citizens. This plea is not merely to ensure a fair political structure; it is a fight for equality, preservation of human rights, and the plea for honouring people's demands about quota reforms. A directly elected President will put in place a system where every voice is equally important, thereby ensuring that the demands of our children do not remain unheard.

According to data from the newspaper and media, a number of clashes related to quota reform have taken place in recent days and led to the tragic loss of young lives. Therefore, this change is more than just a political reform. It is an urgent necessity to protect our youth and safeguard their future.

We stand on the precipice of change and only by unifying can we convince the authorities that our voices and our votes matter. Sign the petition. Let us strengthen our democracy by supporting the legitimate protests and making the position of the President of Bangladesh a representation of the people's voice.
