Sea World, as an organisation, is known for it’s range of different animals that people can view. In mine, and many others opinions, it should be known for it’s animal cruelty. In particular, I’m talking about the Sea World on the Gold Coast of QLD, Australia. In this subtropic environment, you will find that they are holding polar bears for peoples entertainment. 
This is most definitely NOT ok, as polar bears habitats are in cold places, like the Artic. They have adaptions in their bodies, such as thicker skin and fur to keep them warm, so when they are introduced to a hot, dense climate such as Queensland, they are sure to be overheating. Not only this, but Sea World is not providing large enough enclosures for the Polar bears. Polar bears naturally roam for distances, and when they are placed in small enclosures, they develop severe mental problems, which Sea World also does not help them cope with. 
Lastly the polar bears have similar hearing abilities to humans, which means they can hear the loud chatter of crowds and screaming from the amusement park, which makes them overwhelmed. 
If nothing is done about this problem, polar bears will continue to develop severe mental illnesses such as depression in the enclosures. As well as this they will have to continue living in climates and conditions that are severely uncomfortable and that they cannot thrive in. 
Though Sea World claims to be ‘rehabilitating’ these animals, it is clear that their intentions are selfish and greedy. They are doing this for money, not for the animals benefit. 
Sign this petition now, as even if Sea World does not change its cruel ways and stop their cruelty to Polar Bears, the recognition of this will stop their money flowing in from flaunting these helpless animals. 
P.s. note to Sea World; if the polar bears are really their because they need to be, and not to benefit your selfish needs, put them somewhere where they are at least more comfortable like Canada, not in the subtropics.
