The Issue

NWF needs still our help, and we must help them!

April 20 will mark one year since the Gulf oil spill disaster began, and Congress has yet to require that BP fines from the horrific spill actually go back toward restoring the Gulf of Mexico.

Of more than more than 600 dead sea turtles found in the months after last year's oil spill, nearly 500 were Kemp's ridley sea turtles the rarest and most endangered species of sea turtle in the world. There is is still hope for the Kemp's ridley if we act very soon to require that the billions of dollars in fines that BP and other parties myst pay go to restoring the sea turtles' habitat in the Gulf.

Edit and send a message to Congress, urging them to mark the oil spill anniversary by committing Clean Water Act penalties to restoring the Gulf – and saving the Kemp's ridley before it’s too late.

Please dedicate the Clean Water Act penalties resulting from the BP oil spill towards restoring the ecosystems that were impacted by the disaster.

The oil spill was an enormous blow to the economy and ecosystem of the Gulf Coast and swift action is necessary to protect the Gulf region's remarkable natural resources and its economy. Restoration of the Gulf Coast and the Mississippi River Delta is critical for preserving America's natural resources and should be a national priority.

Please support legislation that dedicates the Clean Water Act penalties paid by BP towards restoring the region that suffered the greatest impacts of last summer's oil disaster.

Please sign 4 the Gulf RT @NWF: One year into the #OilSpill, Congress still has not acted to pass response legislation: http://www.nwf.org/Oil-Spill/Effects-on-Wildlife/Sea-Turtles.aspx

~~ Please help the NWF and help the animals! They still need our help! We need to do something and let this stop!
