The city of New Philadelphia needs educated on the medical benefits of Marijuana. 

I care about cannabis because it IS NOT AN ILLEGAL DRUG if you have your medical marijuana card through the state of Ohio! Us patients and even the dispensaries have very strict guidelines we have to follow! I know for 100% facts that medical marijuana works for several health issues conditions! Within a year I went off Tramadol, Gabapentin, Zanaflex, Amitriptyline, and Melatonin! This was the best decision I made of my life but I also knew I still needed help so I switched to a “NATURAL” approach for my health conditions. I also knew that I couldn’t go off the medications listed above without side effects. Especially the gabapentin! Withdrawls was horrible but with the help of medical marijuana, I made it through and I refuse to go back on pills! My pain, sleep, anxiety, nausea, IBS and etc has all been helped just because of a simple, natural plant! Marijuana has helped me not be hospitalized due to not eating and severe dehydration with digestive issues that I have a severe problem with for about half of every year! It encouraged me to eat and drink!!! I lose several pounds each year from being sick with IBS!  Marijuana has been a natural healer and medicine for the entire time it’s been on this earth for 28 billion years ago!!!

 

Marijuana is a much safer drug than any prescription out there! If you over dose on it, will it kill you? No! Has there been any deaths linked to an over dose of marijuana? Never, in history and for a matter of fact it has never been listed on a death certificate! To this day, the CDC has not reported any deaths from Marijuana.

 

America is slowly ending the stigma that marijuana is a “bad drug”! There’s only 11 states where marijuana is not legal but soon, that stigma will end!

 

Harry Anslinger, head of the DEA,  is the man who made marijuana illegal! This man definitely has no idea about marijuana and he has told nothing but lies! Most of all, there is no studies to back up Harry Anslinger’s quote on why marijuana use is suppose to be so bad!

 

I believe that the churches in New Philadelphia should not have any say so in why this dispensary should not go in since its location is far away from any churches, LIKE THE OHIO LAW STATES! There is actually bible verses that talks about this natural plant being planted on this earth by “God”!

 

Genesis 1:12 

The earth brought forth vegetation, plants yielding seed according to their own kinds, and trees bearing fruit in which is their seed, each according to its kind. And God saw that it was good.

 

Genesis 1:29

And God said, “Behold, I have given you every plant yielding seed that is on the face of all the earth, and every tree with seed in its fruit. You shall have them for food.

 

Genesis 9:3

Every moving thing that lives shall be food for you. And as I gave you the green plants, I give you everything.

 

It also talks in the Bible that we are not suppose to judge others… 

 

Matthew 7:1-3

Do not judge, or you too will be judged. For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.

“Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? How can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when all the time there is a plank in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye.

 

I was baptized in all faiths but was born catholic and have been to several different denomination churches. Presbyterian, Methodist, Catholic, Nazarene, Pentecostal, Apostolic and a Non-Denominational church! Never once did they ever judge anyone nor talk about how bad “marijuana” is! Church and state is suppose to be separate!

 

The reason we need a dispensaries in New Philadelphia is so us patient doesn’t have to travel far to go to our medical marijuana dispensaries! The state of Ohio pharmacy board has very strict regulations and if I’m not mistaken, Ohio has one of the strictest medical marijuana programs in the United States! Us patients should not have to travel far to our “pharmacies” especially since there is people in this program that is terminally ill! 

 

Marijuana has been proven to help city’s and states by bringing in money to help pay for roads to be fixed and etc. It also will bring money to local business!

In Ohio, medical marijuana is a class ll drug and that class is the same class for Narcotic pain medicine! If it was a class 1 drug then it would have no medicinal value and would still be illegal in ohio. So therefore people need to stop messing with other peoples choices of medicine!!! If you don’t agree with it, then just go on about your day because no matter what anyone says or does, MEDICAL MARIJUANA IS LEGAL in Ohio!

 

At the end of the day Medical Marijuana IS NOT illegal in the state of Ohio so us patients that have worked so hard for us to live a long, healthy life style should not be discriminated against when Marijuana is legal medically! So please sign this petition to show the city of New Philadelphia that Medical Marijuana is not a drug. It’s medicine!
