Help stop the dumping of animals at the Caroni Bird Sanctuary

Help stop the dumping of animals at the Caroni Bird Sanctuary
The Issue
The Kitty Haven Project was created in November 2020 by a group of concerned citizens who came together to combat the dumping of cats, kittens and dogs at the Caroni Bird Sanctuary.
Our goal is to have these animals spayed, neutered and adopted into loving homes as soon as possible to prevent another mass poisoning. In 2019 the number of deaths were devastating, not only of the cats but the wildlife population.
There are numerous rumours, those without proof of the cats hunting the indigenous bird species and we fear harm may be upon them very soon. Rumours have been circulating that action may be taken to eliminate their existence.
Animal shelters across the nation are filled to capacity, thus we are forced to work in the Bird Sanctuary. Veterinarians are on call to assist the spay and neuter drive. Assistance from donations help us to provide food, medical treatment and a donation to the veterinary clinics that assist in this venture. We have successfully found homes and fosters for babies that have lost their mother and most dogs that have been there.
At present we are not a registered NGO, however, we are in the process. A location to house the cats is not available at this time and we would like assistance in this regard. If we can get assistance in acquiring one lot of land to house these animals, it will be greatly appreciated.
We would like to propose that cameras be installed covering every inch of the Caroni Bird Sanctuary to prevent persons who dump their animals. It is a sure way of knowing who these people are, and they can be charged accordingly.
By providing this space and cameras, we can encourage persons not to leave their pets at the Caroni Bird Sanctuary. The cat colonies at the Sanctuary will cease to exist, thus returning the wildlife (flora and fauna) back to it's original state.
